Surfboards for kitesurfing typically come with metal inserts installed into the deck to allow footstraps to be easily installed. They can be ridden either strapped or strapless, depending on the wind and surf conditions. Wave riding with a kite has become ever more popular as surfers and windsurfers are realizing that they can ride a normal shortboard with a kite and get the same feeling of surfing a wave, using the kite to get out past the waves easily and then tow into the wave. We also offer stick on pads from NSI that work great for boards without inserts.
