The Dillon Open at Lake Dillon in Colorado was a great success this year. I came into town for the last day of the event and was able to attend the awards ceremony. Daryl held second place through most of the race until he kited across someone’s lines draped across part of the finish line and had to bail, resulting in a twisted knee! A heavy dose of ibuprofen was in the order these past few days.

Our road trip together began in Summit County, CO then heading into Glenwood Springs for a night at the hot springs and on towards Utah the following day.

The road to Utah was an interesting one, first cruising through the open plains in our rental car, a ‘trail rated’ Jeep Liberty. We may or may not have taken the Jeep off road. If we did I can say it handles pretty well. Just saying.

Next stop was Moab, UT. Moab is one of the top mounting biking spots in the world but is also home to rock climbing, rafting, off roading (cough), camping, base jumping and more. There was a nice breeze funneling down the Colorado River so we put up a 10m Lithium. Why not right?

Moab is an incredible place.
